365 Project ~ Days 7-10
Day Seven: Friday, January 7th
[image width=”148″ height=”176″ frame=”simple” align=”left”]http://www.startsateight.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/fancynancy.jpg[/image]I call the photo for today, “Fancy Nancy” and her fancy boy cohort Jayden! This week Ava discovered Fancy Nancy for the first time. For those of you that don’t know, Fancy Nancy is a little girl created by Jane O’Connor, and started with a book, and has stemmed into many books, dolls, costumes, party themes, etc. This comes at a time when she has decided that orange is no longer her favorite color because it is a “boy color”. She instead says that pink and purple are her new favorites because they are “good girl colors”! In comes Fancy Nancy with her plethora of “fancy” words, and “fancy” accessories such as fluffy slippers, pink glasses, scarves, bracelets, crowns, etc. So of course Ava is in love, and she now needs to be called Fancy Nancy and everything she does or wears is fancy!
Day Eight: Saturday, January 8th
Wild Card weekend has arrived! Myself in particular, was looking forward to a Saturday afternoon filled with football. As the exciting showdown between the New Orleans Saints, and the Seattle Seahawks was coming to an end, we had all hunkered down to see how it would end. The kids had their tubs of popcorn and the dogs were hovering about hoping to catch some crumbs! Ava was laying on the floor next to me so I set my camera on the floor to take a photo of her with her popcorn. What I also got was sneaky Oscar in the background coming it to try and get some popcorn for himself!
Day Nine: Sunday, January 9th
Ahhhh, the lazy dogs! Apparently they had such a rough day of laying around and watching football that they had to take a nap. It is rare that you catch them this close together because Muffin wants nothing to do with Oscar so she bolts when he tries to snuggle in.
Day Ten: Monday, January 10th
My Lego building munchkins! Jayden received many different Star Wars Lego sets for his birthday and Christmas. He likes to morph them into things other than what the instructions recommend. This is Ava and Jayden adding the wings from one of his sets to the car Ava made from the regular bin of Legos. They spent much of the time arguing over what piece went where, but in the end they came up with an odd contraption that made Ava happy enough!

Two things…Love these photos…the Fancy Nancy one is PRICELESS!! Also, did you know that you can set up your Starts At Eight logo to be an automatic layer in all your photos? I didn’t get too far into it but when I was playing around in there the other day I stumbled across it…that way you’d never have to think about it…it would just appear (you can even have it as a watermark) – we’ll discuss on Wednesday if you want (or even need) more info! 🙂

Even though I was there when you took the picture of Fancy Nancy/Ava/Jayden, I couldn’t help but burst out laughing at the two of them. They are quite the delight; especially Jayden in curlers.
If you didn’t know better you would think the dogs were best buddies. Love this captured moment.
