BBBE Bread ~ Best Banana Bread Ever! Bread Recipe
I never liked banana bread until this recipe. It’s original name was nothing original so I gave it a name that I like! 🙂 It was passed down to my mother from somewhere and when she switched to using this one I always loved it! I recently made it and was talking about it when my mother-in-law asked if I had posted it on my blog. DING! Light bulb! Why didn’t I think to do that! So here it is, another great addition to my recipe tab!
BBBE Bread
1/2 cups butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 ripe bananas (mashed)
3 T sourmilk (or 1/3 cup milk & 1 t lemon juice)
1 t baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
pinch of salt
1 t vanilla
[**Please note you could add stir-ins to this recipe as well, like chocolate chips, nuts, raisins, cranberries, etc.]
In one bowl mash the bananas and set aside.
In another bowl combine butter, eggs, vanilla, and sourmilk. Once they are combined add sugar baking soda, and salt, and combine. Lastly add the flower and mix completely.
Finally add the mashed bananas from the first bowl and mix well. [**If you choose to add stir-ins do so at this time.]
Grease bread pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

Upon viewing the photo, my taste buds are salivating. I love this recipe too. Can you say moist not dry?

It looks so good! I never liked banana bread until I tried a recipe with yogurt. Probably similar to using buttermilk and it was moist. Thanks for sharing with us at NOBH
