Our 5th Annual Neighborhood Food Drive
What started out with a sled on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2009 has grown into a family project each year.
This year we are looking to reach out a little more. Through extra houses outside of our neighborhood, putting posters up, and reaching out via social media we home to increase the amount donated from last years total of 298 lbs. There are serious needs right here in the Rochester community and we hope to aid our community as best we can in gathering food for those who need it.
We are now calling our food drive The StartsAtEight Neighborhood Food Drive as we hope to not only cover our own neighborhood but reach out to the community and other neighborhoods in our area.
Here are the details for our 2013 drive:

Wow, this looks like a great project. I like how you are organizing it. We are serving an Inner City Mission in our area and food is always needed. Our church as a welfare system that can help those in need of food. I loved reading about your service projects.
Blessings to you in this effort.
