I sensensed it last night and reading the blog it was confirmed to me. Last night I blew it as Jayden’s grandmother. I was soooooo caught up in trying to get his flashcards done that I was missing the moment of Jayden’s servant heart in wanting to help Daddy clean up in the garage. Way to go Jayden Man!!!!

I am excited to join you! What a great idea! For me it’s all the times my (generally) snotty and rude 4-year-old says “no thank you” or “excuse me” without prompting. It’s a small reminder that all this exterior stuff is a stage he’s going through and the important stuff is sinking in!!!

Nice post as usual Heidi! Jayden was quite the helper last night. He must have followed us around for 30 minutes, helping to carry tools, hold doors, up and down the stairs numerous times. Then he had no problem spending another good chunk of time in the garage by himself after dark breaking down cardboard and stacking it. He also helped himself to breaking down the little styrofoam corners that held the cabinets in their boxes. In Jayden’s classic style of course.. stomping on them and breaking them up to little bits with his feet. That is the fun part of course.. what 7 year old doesn’t like making a mess. He would have gladly helped with all aspects of our project last night, including carrying my circular saw for me.. umm (no thanks Jayden)

I love to see him develop as he gets older.. He’s my little buddy.
