The Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ March 30th, 2010
FOR TODAY:
March 30 , 2010…
Outside my window…the sun is shining brightly. I am told we may hit 70 degrees later this week. That would be nice.
I am thinking…that we only have 2 more days until the carpeting goes into our family room in the basement. We are so excited to finally see that room done!
I am thankful for…the good health of our family. In general we are pretty healthy people. I think we need to appreciate it while we have it.
From the learning rooms…multiply and dividing with decimals is proving to be quite the challenge for Chloe. On the other end of things it is fun to go through the process of learning to read with Ava. She is already ready the first couple of books in the Bob Books series and is readily working on a stack of 20+ sight words!
From the kitchen…not even sure what is for dinner tonight. I think maybe marinated pork chops and baked potatoes. The kitchen is more of a planting ground today. We are planting all of our garden veggie seeds to start growing them in our bay window today.
I am wearing…pjs as only Jayden is stirring and my eyes are still blurry after just rolling out of bed.
I am creating…sight word cards, and basic books for Ava. I spent most of the weekend cutting and laminating cards for her. She is really interested in words and reading now so I am doing everything I can to encourage her. It may not last long so I have to take advantage!
I am going…to take Ava to preschool and then get a shower in.
I am reading…Happiness Key by Emilie Richards. I did not really read any of it last week. But I dug in on Sunday night and now I want to read more, but as usual, have a hard time squeezing it into my day!
I am hoping…to get on the scale this morning and find that the exercise and minimal food intake sacrifices I have been making have paid off. I have been stuck at a 6lb weight loss for days and I am hoping to break that plateau today.
I am hearing…the bus pull up outside to take the neighbor kids to school. It is nice to have my babies here with me, even if it is difficult some days! 🙂
Around the house…
One of my favorite things…fresh tomatoes from our garden. Given that tomatoes were about the only thing we got from our garden last year, it is a good thing I love them! So did my parents and my mother-in-law. Hopefully we will have better success this year.
A few plans for the rest of the week: carpet install, getting my iPad, Walk n Talk, usually taxi service
Here is the picture for thought I am sharing…

Well I might just as well jump in on this one and say, “How about my ipod?” It is a never ending thing to keep up with all the new technology. Recently I was quite please with myself as I was the one to figure out how to do labels with Windows 7 and my husband couldn’t do it.
