Coming back from 2 1/2 weeks of vacation has been VERY hard.  We are weeks behind all our neighbors in yard and landscaping care, the house needs to be cleaned, the kids are having a hard time settling back in to a routine, there is a camper to prep and all the regular activities to maintain.  Needless to say, I have found it nearly impossible to think of one thing that has made it all worth it this week.  Sad, I know.  Beyond the regular things to be grateful for, like our health, family, job, etc. the things that stand out to make life worth it have been scarce.

On that note, I did finally think of one thing.  While on vacation my mother purchased hermit crabs for the kids.  Of course, along with that comes all the care that they need.  We have a daily chore chart on our wall for the kids.  I told them we needed to add the hermit crabs and wanted to know who was going to take care of them.  The three kids sat at the table, and for once decided to work together and come to a solution that made all of them happy.  Chloe is the cleaner, Ava is the feeder, and Jayden is the water supply man.
