Online CLEP Test Prep with Study.com
The cost of college grows exponentially each and every year. In our house we ensure each of our children can complete at least a two year degree without debt. One of the ways we do this is by using CLEP tests as a means of earning college credit for less. Want to know what a CLEP test is? Need CLEP Test Prep resources? I answer all of those questions and more for you in my CLEP Exam series!
When my first child hit high school I began looking into the options for reducing the massive amount we would have to spend on a college education for our children. That led me to CLEP – College Level Examination Program which is meant to give students college credit for their prior knowledge. I spent time researching all the ins and outs of CLEP Test prep, signing up to take the test, CLEP testing, CLEP vs. AP and more!
One of the things I love most about CLEP exams is that your student can study in any manner they choose to gain the knowledge, and then take the test to earn credit for that knowledge. This means as homeschoolers our kids can easily study at home, earning both high school and college credit for a fraction of the cost of a college education! While my oldest was in high school she studied things like Psychology and US History I for high school, and then at the end of the year did some extra CLEP specific studying before taking the CLEP exam to earn college credit!
I am now on “round two” of having a high school age student working towards a 2 year college degree. Since going through this a few years ago, I have found a new CLEP Test Prep resource that I am loving!
