I realized I never complimented Jayden on his piano the other night…I was thinking that it made such nice background music and how pleasant it was to hear but never actually SAID anything…you should be proud!! Kudos on your long range goal of getting the kids’ books up to date! I hope to add that to my 101 in 1001 (but I’ll have to actually FINISH that list, first!!!) – ugh! Can’t wait to see you guys again tomorrow…even though you may have been hoping for a longer “Smith-free” stretch! 🙂

We are very happy to have the Smith family with us again. We enjoy sharing meals with you.

I enjoyed reading about your day and your plans…I haven’t read anything by Koontz in a long time but my favorites were Strangers (about guests at a motel who saw a UFO and were brainwashed to forget) and watchers(about a dog with supernatural powers the gov. had done tests on and had escaped and was being hunted by them).
About your scrapbooks: January doesn’t seem very long as a goal…I have been working on mine for over a year, yet 3 weeks go by without any progress at all.
    Have a blessed week,
    Mama Bear

Love those apples! As far as Jayden’s small hands go; it is amazing what any of us can do when driven by motivation and perseverance. Great to read how you appreciate the blessings in your life. In life it is so easy to focus on what we don’t have or what we would like to see change. Can’t help but be reminded of 1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” We can experience contentment when we strive to live with less rather than desiring more; being able to give away out of our abundance rather than accumulating more; being able to relish what we have rather than resenting what we are missing. Ultimately our money and possessions all pass away and we can’t take any of it with us when we die. Each day is a gift when we wake up with our health in tact, surrounded by family who love and care for us. We can truly say we are RICH!
