October 3in30 Week One
Goal One: Add one recipe a week to my From Our Kitchen tab
My husband was conveniently making Beef Barley soup this past weekend. It is one of his favorites. Instead of using stew beef this time we used hamburger because we already had some in the freezer, thus making the soup cheaper to make. Whatever he did different this time was SO much better than the last batch. Thus we altered our recipe to match the changes. I was on the ball and took pictures of it so that I could write it up and add it to my blog.
Goal Two: Plan our Africa Unit for the second half of the year
I had almost forgotten about this goal! I will have to make this one more of a priority this week. I think I will try for at least deciding which countries in Africa to focus on, and then if I have time/focus I will determine what basic facts to cover.
Goal Three: Cut back on my food intake in an effort to drop the extra pounds I have put on
Well, I have done great at monitoring my food intake. I have had my steady breakfast, 100 calorie yogurt for lunch, and reasonable dinners. Instead of junk food snacks at night with the kids, I have been eating an apple, and sometimes a few pretzels. Only one night did I have a large calorie snack with the kids. Here is the only problem, I have not seen any weight loss. 🙁
