Even though it isn’t always sunny here in New York, Jayden and I have been engaged in building a solar robot kit from Edmund Scientifics.

Things We Loved

• Once the head and body are built it is just a matter of swapping extremities to change the robot into a new one
• It works both in the sun and directly under a 50w bulb

Things That Troubled Us

• Getting the pieces “punched” out was a little tedious.
• It was essential that you carefully check each piece to be sure any little plastic protrusion from the frame it came in was removed or it would clog up the gears.
