Homeschool Health and Nutrition for High School
In recent months I have seen many homeschoolers in search of Homeschool Health and Nutrition for high school. This spurred me to do a search for myself. I was surprised to find so little where this topic is concerned! And if you live in NYS like we do, finding a homeschool health curriculum for high school may be of more importance to you because the NYS Homeschool Regulations require 1/2 credit of health for the high school years.
I did find a few programs for Fulfilling Homeschool High School Health Credits, both secular and Christian worldview, many only covered health or nutrition, but not both. However, I did find some good homeschool health options that cover both health and nutrition along with the ones that do a solid job of covering only homeschool health or nutrition.
One that stands out for me is Apologia’s Exploring Creation with Health and Nutrition. {I received a copy of Apologia’s Exploring Creation with Health and Nutrition as part of this review and I was compensated for my time in writing it. All views are my own and I was not required to write a positive review. Please see my full Disclosure Policy for more details.} This is a homeschool health program for high school that has it all!

What We Love About It
Easy To Use Format
From the built in schedule to the practical spiral bound notebook, to the included extensive study guides and tests, this curriculum was built for ease of use!
Practical Topics & Advice
This book deals with not only the science behind so many of our body functions, but also deals with emotional health and offers practical tips and advice for handling it all. Things like how to deal with bad breath, proper flossing technique, blood typing, how to read food labels, a detailed how and why on vitamins and minerals, and even an extensive section on emotional health which is extremely important in times where the child suicide rate is startlingly high.
One of the things it has you do is take a color-blindness test. While we don’t have color blindness in our family, my son and I found it fascinating because we know people who are color blind and it really helped us to understand what they are actually seeing, or not seeing!
More Than Just Health or Science
This book truly does it all! It is an extensive human body science text, as well as health and nutrition (with tons of things to do and implement in your own life), as well as delving into mental and emotional stability.
