Learning the Presidents of the United States
Learning the Presidents of the United States was made immeasurably easier when we found a song to help us out.
This year for history we are studying the 44 Presidents of the United States. Just touching briefly on each one of them to have an idea of their names, and what they might have accomplished, or have been known for during their presidency and lives. We are starting by using a song to learn all of them in order.
The funny thing to me is that in less than a week, all the kids, including Ava, know all of them! Songs really seem to work well for them. When Jayden was younger, (4 or so) we used to listen to a multiplication cd, and at 4 he could count by 2s, 3s, 5s, 8s, 9s, and 10s. Now Ava is on track to do the same. If everything was set to music, they would know it all! Here are Chloe and Jayden singing the Presidents Song:

I love to use songs to complement teaching. It’s such a great way to have fun and really reinforce concepts!! (Found you through the Hop! Have a great day!)

I love the song! I saved it so I can play it for our children. They seem to do better when we put things to music. Thank you for sharing.
I’m here from Hip Homeschool Hop. Have a great week.

It has always amazed me just how much easier it is to learn/remember things through music. It is fun and such a blessing to have these things available. You ROCK daughter and grandchildren.
