Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ April 20th, 2010
FOR TODAY:
Tuesday April 20, 2010…
Outside my window…large birds glide in lines overhead, very near to the roof line.
I am thinking…that I really like sunshine and wishes to see more of it.
I am thankful for…the chance to have some quality family time to chill and regroup.
From the learning rooms…a massive study of the ocean, as well as bird and shell identification.
From the kitchen…macaroni and cheese for lunch. The kids always seemed to want a cooked meal of some sort for lunch. Why can’t they just be happy with good old fashioned peanut butter and jelly!
I am wearing…bright purple nail polish on my toes that I have received many compliments for. I guess it was a good color choice! 🙂
I am creating… More like I SHOULD BE CREATING more “5 x 5” squares for our Lap Blanket project !
I am going…to head out for a walk this afternoon, I am hoping to be down at least another pound or two this week.
I am reading…Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. I am 30 pages from the end. Hopefully when I am done I will get to writing a book review like I have for the other books I have finished.
I am hoping…to get started on reading my first Nora Roberts book ever. Her Garden Trilogy looks interesting and someone else recommended the Bride Quartet as well.
I am hearing…Carrie Underwood on my iPad singing “Cowboy Casanova”
Around the house…there are many pairs of shoes. We have a whole line up of shoes along the entrance hallway. It is amazing to me how many pairs of shoes the five of us can generate!
One of my favorite things…smiling, happy children. I have 3 of those right now!
A few plans for the rest of the week: reading, relaxing, playing with the kids. Enjoying the break from our usual routine.
Here is the picture for thought I am sharing…

Tadpoles! I used to do that myself. Don’t you just love those plastic clogs. I didn’t like them at first but they’re great when you’re outdoors. They clean up so well. Maybe, I’ll buy my husband a pair. He gets red mud on his sneakers which is impossible to get off.
I enjoyed dropping by your place today.
