Ten on Ten ~ May 10th, 2011
Ten on Ten: Take a photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. Document a day of your life and find beauty among the ordinary moments.
No sooner had I risen for the day and Muffin was ready to be let out. She came in with dirty, wet paws. Needless to say, I was unhappy with this, so here she sits, with a guilty look on her face, waiting for me to come and clean her up so she can enter the house!
Ava is loving playing the piano. Last week I expanded her from Mary Had a Little Lamb, to Twinkle Twinkle. This week she is learning You Are My Sunshine. She is so proud of being able to play songs that she know on the piano!
It has been just 6 days since we planted and already we have lots of sprouts in the containers set up in our bay window. We are looking forward to having lots of seedlings to plant in our newly expanded garden in a few weeks!
And the children will play! Here lies their lunch, over there is where they play! I went inside for something, leaving the two of them to eat, and this is the scene I found when I came back out.
This is part of the Garden Unit that Ava is doing. The older two have one for them, and she has this preschool one for her. She matched veggies to their names, put the flower parts in correct order with their parts named, sorted out packets of flower and vegetable seeds, and traced beginning letter sounds of some garden vocabulary words.
Today we started a live, online art class called Beginning Art with Oil Pastels. This is the older two all set up and ready to get started.
This is Ava’s “coloring book” version of the oil pastel picture that the older two are working on.
Here is some of the sky and the giraffe that Chloe was working on. We still have two more weeks of this class where they will be finishing these up.
Here Lies Ava, May She Rest In Peace….she was sent to her room for misbehaving and when I went up to get her for dinner, this is how I found her. Guess all that trampoline jumping during lunchtime really wore her out!
We are all geared up and ready to go for our walk. It was nice to be able to do our normal “mall walk”, outside today.
To check out more beautiful Ten on Ten posts, head over to a bit of sunshine

Thanks for all the wonderful photos. That would be my son if I left him to eat outdoors. He would rather play than eat. Thank you for linking this wonderful post at NOBH. I hope you are having a blessed week.

This is a pretty cool idea! I’ll have to start doing it next month ^_^
I love the picture where Ava fell asleep it’s so sweet, those kinds of shots are a classic in our house lol One Saturday morning after spending a late night out with my husbands family I woke up only to find my 9yr old sleeping (passed out) on the bottom staircase… O_o <—Strange lol

I have to laugh when my daughter acts crazy and then I realize she was super tired or hungry. Sleep and food helps keep her our of trouble.
Looks like a good day.

Enjoyed all the photos; especially Ava asleep and the kids playing rather than eating. The pictures provide a wonderful view of your lives. Thank you for bringing me along.
