Blog with Integrity ~ Or Better Yet, Live Your Life With It!
By displaying the Blog with Integrity badge or signing the pledge, I assert that the trust of my readers and the blogging community is important to me.
I treat others respectfully, attacking ideas and not people. I also welcome respectful disagreement with my own ideas.
I believe in intellectual property rights, providing links, citing sources, and crediting inspiration where appropriate.
I disclose my material relationships, policies and business practices. My readers will know the difference between editorial, advertorial, and advertising, should I choose to have it. If I do sponsored or paid posts, they are clearly marked.
When collaborating with marketers and PR professionals, I handle myself professionally and abide by basic journalistic standards.
I always present my honest opinions to the best of my ability.
I own my words. Even if I occasionally have to eat them.

I stumbled upon this pledge and web site while I was viewing another mother’s blog. This is yet another thing that has come into my view at such an ironic time. Not only do I believe in blogging with integrity, but I believe you should live your whole life that way, from home life, to job, to friends, etc.
This clip from the Today Show only supports this sad state of affairs and how we as people, can be so cruel and belittling instead of supportive. I want all you women reading this to think for a moment, count all the times in your life you have been persecuted, judged, spoken badly about behind your back, felt shoved aside, etc. I am sure that like myself, for most of you it would take more than 10 fingers and 10 toes to count all those times! Shouldn’t we, knowing how hurtful it is, make more of an effort to build others up, instead of pushing them down (and then stomping on them too)!
