It seems as though as I am always holding my breath, hoping the kids will behave while we are out.  You don’t actually think they ever sit still, stop fighting, keep their hands to themselves, lower their voices while inside etc.!

Every now I then I am surprised to find that there is some good behavior in there somewhere.  The last time we were at the library Jayden got scolded for climbing up the counter.  Now mind you, it is NOT kid friendly.  They want to put their books up and see what is going on, but the top of the counter is at my chest level.  That still does NOT make it a playground.  I left there mortified once again, swearing never to take them back.

Today I took Jayden and Ava into the library because I had a book on hold for Chloe that I needed to pick up.  Of course I was dreading the excursion but it was a must.  To my great surprise Jayden was complimented by the lady checking us out for his good manners.  He stretched to put his books up, stood and waited patiently for her to replace them back on the counter, and then said “Thank You” to her when she returned them to the counter for him!  Who knew?  Every now and then they pull it together for me! 🙂
