Monday:

Every other Monday is museum and music lesson Monday.  This week was one of those weeks.  My husband Joey had such an enjoyable time 2 weeks ago with the kids that he decided to take another day off and spend it with us at the Strong National Museum of Play again!  He was not disappointed!

Tuesday: Election day.  Which means above said husband is home again from work.  Thank you NYS for giving state workers Election day off!  That also means that not too much school was done.  We enjoyed a relaxing day at home with the kids, and only left to take them to vote with us.

Wednesday: Which naturally brings Story Time with Mr. Mike!  Who brought us a story about sharing called Martha Doesn’t Share by Samantha Berger.  Martha has a new favorite word….MINE!  She does not want to share.  But in the end, even though she doesn’t totally love sharing, she realizes that playing with her toys all by herself is not so much fun.

Thursday: Chloe attended her second Life Science Lab at the U of R.  This one all about DNA.  Having done our homework of terms that the instructor had e-mailed, Chloe felt pretty good about this lab.  She really enjoyed the hands on experience of building DNA models with Legos.  Here is the description from their brochure:

1.  Modeling of transcription, translation and protein assembly
2. Simulated population genetics study

Friday: We headed off to the Seneca Park Zoo for our reptiles class.  (more to come next week on that) But it was a VERY cold and rainy day to be at the zoo!
