Flexible Online College Degree with Total Testing
I find it so exciting that now more than ever you can find options for online college degree programs! With technology becoming more accessible these options often make college possible by offering more flexibility and often lower costs incurred.
I want to preface this review by saying it holds a little personal history for me! Daemen College is fairly local for me and as a teen it was a college I considered and received early acceptance to.
Earn an Online College Degree with Total Testing from Daemen College
Now you are already asking, What is Total Testing?
Total Testing is a site that offers degree advisement, review materials, and college credit through exams.
{Disclosure: I received access to Total Testing for free and was compensated for my time in writing this review. However these are my honest opinions and I was not required to post a positive review. Please see my full Disclosure Policy for more details.}
Degree credits are earned by taking exams through Total Testing. You study at your own pace, register for tests and then take them from home.
Each month you have access to degree advisement and up to 3 exams for one low price. Upon completion of a total of 90 credits, completed in your timeframe, you will transfer to Daemen College to earn the final 30 credits.
Daemen College is a private, nonsectarian, co-educational, comprehensive college in Amherst, New York.
Why as a homeschooler do you want to know about this?
As a homeschooler you want to know about this online college degree option because your homeschooled high schooler can be working through this BEFORE they graduate high school! That means they can have 75% of their bachelor’s degree done before high school graduation!
What does getting started with Total Testing look like?
First, you choose a degree:
- Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
- Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
- B.S. Education/Non-Certification Pathway
My daughter chose the Business Administration degree plan as this would be a good path for her if she chooses to start and run her own horse training facility.
Second, you choose your courses:
Each month you can select up to three courses to study. If you complete 3 each month you can earn 75% of the bachelor’s degree in 10 months! And then enroll at Daemen College to finish the rest.
While that seems a little too rigorous for us, it might be perfect for someone else. The good news is you can SET YOUR OWN PACE!
Busy month and you can only complete one course? Great! Pick your course and go! Got nothing go on while snowed in in January? Perfect! It’s three courses that month!
Third, use the Total Testing Resources to study each course selected:
I was so excited to see all the resources Total Testing offers to foster success! Everything from Power Points to study guides, video lessons, and tons of practice problems!
Fourth, you test for the courses you’ve completed:
When you are ready to test for a course all you need is:
- reliable Internet access
- a computer with a webcam
- a government issued photo ID (in our case my daughter is too young for a driver’s license so we got her a non-driver ID)
- a clear workspace with no papers, phones, or other items near the computer
