Happy 46th Anniversary Mom & Dad
Tomorrow is my parents’ wedding anniversary. They will have been married for 46 years! I know for me, that seems like a lifetime. They are in the minority of people who can truly say they have spent their lives together. So in honor of their wedding anniversary, and in keeping with the NaBloPoMo theme of ties, I am going to share some photos from the day they “TIED” the knot! That would be February 8th, 1964.
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! Thank you for all the happy years and memories that you have given all of us as a family. You have been a wonderful support and a great example of a long and happy marriage!

There was a blizzard that day and Toni and his best man, Bill Stevenson went for a joy ride and were late getting back to the church. Needless to say, there was concern. There were no jets at that time only four engine planes. I had never been on a plane and was somewhat fearful especially considering the weather. Toni held the barf bag while I counted our money over and over. We had $1,000 the most money I had ever had at that time. We spent five fun days in New York City. The following are some sights we took in: How to Succeed in Business (a play), Latin Quarters (a night club), Mama Leonies (Italian restaurant), Rockettes, The Price is Right show, Greenwich Village, Wall Street, Sacs Fifth Ave, Macys & Gimbles, China Town, Rockefeller Center,, Times Square, & the Gimmy Dean show.
My mother purchased five different nightgowns for me to surprise Toni with. The yellow striped stain pajamas that I gave to Toni kept giving us shocks from the carpeting. Stop laughing!!!! As Toni would say, “We were making memories.”
