What I Thought:
Having been disappointed by the last couple of Quilts of Love books that I have read recently, I was leery about spedning time reading another one. Lucky for me Rival Hearts was light and entertaining.
The contrast drawn between Ben Weaver the outdoorsman and Molly Hnderson the quiet quilter made for continual fodder, interest and conflict throughout the story. I particularly love how the office takes up boys vs. girls when Ben and Molly are forced to compete for a promotion they both want.
Through competition, mishaps, life and work, Molly and Ben realize that the competition they never wanted has spurred them on in unexpected direction they might not have otherwise seen.
Rival Hearts is a fun, encouraging read about finding yourself, and love when you least expect it.
