Online Homeschool Science: Embryology and Endocrinology
One of the things I love about homeschooling high school is your ability to choose courses. For instance in science you don’t have to cover the typical chemistry, biology, physics route. You can follow your student’s interest with things like equine science and embryology and endocrinology.

Embryology and Endocrinology
Embryology and Endocrinology from College Prep Science covers development of a baby from conception to birth – the complex and miraculous, the pancreas and blood glucose control, diabetes, the pineal gland, and hormones.
This is a seven lesson, half credit, middle or high school course. Not only would it qualify as science, but you could use it as health credit if you preferred. It thoroughly covers female reproductive anatomy, as well as reproduction making it a good choice for health class.
All College Prep Science courses (including Embryology and Endocrinology) are taught by Greg Landry (the owner) himself. Greg is a homeschool dad and former college professor. Greg has spent the past 20+ years teaching science.
Inside Embryology and Endocrinology
Let’s take a look inside College Prep Science’s Embryology and Endocrinology, beginning with how Greg Landry has included some very valuable skills in the courses he teaches.
Note Taking/Study/Test Taking Skills
Embryology and Endocrinology is a seven lesson course, and just like the Young Scientist Anatomy and Physiology from College Prep Science I recently reviewed, it begins with a chapter on Notes, Note Taking, Study Habits and Test Taking.
Greg Landry developed a method for note taking and learning information called NSSR – Notes/Sketches/Summary/Retrieval. These skills are invaluable when it comes to high school and college! I love that he takes the time to incorporate these skills into his classes, helping our children build solid notetaking, study, and test taking skills.
