*Please note that this list (page even) is a work in progress*
Who knows how many of these will actually come true. Some of these are serious, some are little things, some seem out of reach to me, and some will (most likely!) never happen. I’m hoping that having this list will help me accomplish, simply by having it in black and white, at least a few more of these things than I would have otherwise. Plus, I am hardcore type A and LOVE having things in black and white!
In no particular order, other than being broken into categories, here’s my list so far:
Family:
- Go on a real vacation with my husband, by ourselves
- Be a grandmother ( I always hear that is the reward for surviving parenthood!)
- Teach our children to play Euchre (it was a large part of my childhood that I would like to share with them)
Personal Development:
- Make a quilt (I have a strange obsession with quilts, maybe someday I could learn to quilt one)
- Have a few hundred followers on my blog
- Learn how to sew
- Learn how to crochet
- Read more books, specifically classics such as Gone with the Wind which I tackled as a New Years Resolution for 2010
- Write a novel (maybe my life story-sort of a comedy of parenting stories and errors)
- See a James Bond film (or two)
- See Rocky
- Publish the Dinosaur Book I created for Ava when she was little
Travel:
- Take a picture in front of the Hollywood sign
- Go on an Alaskan Cruise.
- See the Great Barrier Reef in Australia
- Swim in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland
- Take my family to the Grand Canyon
- See the Redwood Forest with my own eyes (not just photos)
- Travel the Panama Canal (the kids and I have watched high speed videos of the journey)
Contributions:
- Volunteer at a shelter with the kids at least once a year
- Develop our Neighborhood Food Drive into something BIG
Work:
- Own portrait lighting umbrellas
- Master low light photos without flash shadows
- Master manual mode on my camera
- Become a pro at Photoshop
