    This is a good practice. We gave up TV completely over 5 years ago. No netflix or the like, and we don’t have any video games in the house either. Every time I see snippets of TV when we are in restaurants with it or at a hotel, I KNOW I made the right decision. We have no problem at all spending our time in more productive ways. btw, it only took two weeks to detox from the habit of watching tv. =)

    Wow! Only two weeks? I can easily see that with myself since I have watched little to no tv for months now, but at least one or two of my children would have a harder time with that! For my little one it is her morning veg out time and for my oldest her nightly wind down.
