Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ March 16, 2010
FOR TODAY:
March 16th, 2010…
Outside my window…the sun is finally shinning again! We have had days without the sun again and it is so nice to see it this morning.
I am thinking…that I am thirsty and hungry so I need to hurry up and finish on the computer so I can go have breakfast. It is my favorite meal as I have Nutella on toast and it is about the only chocolate I get!
I am thankful for…the great relationship I have with my husband. Even when we are at our worst, I am still thankful to have someone to be “at our worst” with.
From the learning rooms…Jayden has learned to master long division. After 2 plus hours spent each day pouring over a handful of problems, I never thought I would see him sit and do a whole worksheet of them on his own.
From the kitchen…ham and baked potato today. I wonder how many calories are in a baked potato? I have dropped my calorie intake to around 1600 a day as part of the war I am waging against my fat!
I am wearing…jeans and a green shirt. I plan to put on my matching puffy vest and head out for a neighborhood walk/ride with the kids this afternoon.
I am creating…5″ x 5′ Lap Blanket project which will be complete after next week. Then I think I might take a break from creating. That, or maybe I should work on the photo keepsake album for Ava that I have not started, and she is almost 4!
I am going…not too many places this week which makes me happy. I am looking forward to a little more free time with the kids this week. Hopefully the weather will stay decent so we can spend some time outside in the afternoons.
I am reading…Gone with the Wind but I am nearing the end now, less than 200 pages to go! Hopefully by this time next week I will have finished. Then I am not sure what I am on to next. Maybe I will try Time Traveler’s Wife again. The first time I tried reading it I remember feeling as though it was hard to follow.
I am hoping…for straighter teeth after I become a “metal mouth” at the end of May. Saw the orthodontist yesterday and I am going to have upper and lower braces for about a year. I am nervous but look forward to fixing my bottom teeth.
I am hearing…the morning school bus stopping to pick up the neighborhood children.
Around the house…I find I am getting tired of the white footprints at the top of the basement stairs. Good thing the basement is almost done. A large amount of sanding was done last night. A few finishing touches and the drywall will be complete. Then it is on to painting.
One of my favorite things…a neatly organized room. I spent some time with Chloe on Sunday clearing out all the clothes she had outgrown. We had a large garbage bag and two smaller bags full! Not sure how all of that was fitting in her drawers!
A few plans for the rest of the week: dropping at least another pound, Walk n Talk with Shana, usual gym and preschool runs, but other than that pretty quiet.
Here is the picture for thought I am sharing…
