Thanksgiving Thankfuls ~ November 4th, 2010
Unfortunately, today I don’t have a picture to share. As I am sitting here preparing this post, chatting with a friend on Google Talk and waiting for my blog to be loaded into Blog2Print, I am thinking of all the things I have to do today. For starters, I have to be out of here in less than an hour with snacks, lunches, and ice skating supplies loaded into the truck. Of course I have yet to take a shower, so add that to the list! Now you are wondering where I am going with this. Here it is….I am reading The Personal History of Rachel Dupree by Ann Weisgarber which is set in 1917 in the South Dakota Badlands. They have no water due to the drought so all the animals are dying and they lower their young daughter into the narrow well to have her ladle what little water she can for them to use. So as I am sitting here, getting ready to rush off to my hot shower, I am thankful for my indoor plumbing and my hot running water.
As I said in my initial “Thanksgiving Thankfuls” post, I am posting a linky here for Thursday in the hopes that you will link up your favorite “Thanksgiving Thankful” from your week.
